Strings Tutor

Hannah leads the Junior String Orchestra at York Music Centre and is a professional freelance performer, instrumental tutor and community musician based in York. She specialises as a Violin tutor but also regularly teaches Trumpet, Ukulele, Guitar, Viola and African Drumming. Hannah runs the Musical Development course at Converge based at York St John University, leading monthly sessions working with nursery children and she is the assistant conductor for All Seasons community orchestra. As a classical violinist, she plays in a professional string quartet and plays fiddle for a local folk/bluegrass group which performs at festivals and folk weekends. She has performed as a session player for stage shows and in local recording studios. Hannah studied BA (Hons) Music at York St John University and went on to study MA Community Music at the University of York. In her spare time she rides a motorcycle. Her two-wheeled adventures have taken her to Croatia and Portugal.
