Whole Class Ensemble Teaching (Wider Opps) supports whole class instrumental playing and singing within schools.

Many York primary schools already subscribe to the Wider Opportunities package - which comes with a range of additional support.

As well as the important musical benefits of the Wider Opportunities programme, it is also recognised that there are many further opportunities for developing skills such as:

  • listening
  • increased focus and concentration
  • memory
  • working as a team
  • commitment and motivation
  • greater independent learning
  • enhancing critical thinking
  • managing behaviour problems
  • emotional development

Also - our e-newsletter is packed with useful articles and updates on the programme.
